Cesar Varela, Senior Territory Manager, Liberty Mutual Insurance, NAAIA Phoenix Chapter President
Meet Cesar Varela an award-winning Senior Territory Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance, bringing over a decade of leadership in sales strategy and team development across the insurance industry. Varela also uses his extensive leadership background to help lead the NAAIA Phoenix Chapter as the Vice President.
A proud first-generation American, Cesar earned his Master’s in Business and Bachelor’s in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University.

A dynamic advocate for diversity and inclusion, Cesar helped charter the NAAIA Phoenix Chapter and currently co-leads the Amigos@Liberty Employee Resource Group, championing equitable spaces and strategic growth for Hispanic and Latino professionals.
Cesar’s career has been marked by excellence—earning the Safeco President’s Award and back-to-back Circle of Excellence Awards in 2018 and 2019. As a bilingual mentor and collaborator, he continues to lead with purpose, helping shape a more inclusive, innovative future for the industry.
When he’s not driving impact at work, Cesar enjoys making memories with his four children and their family pup, Oreo—often on a beach or at Disney.
