Meet Sonya Daies, Director of Talent Acquisition at Allianz Commercial

With over 20 years of expertise in Human Resources, Sonya Daies is a respected leader in the insurance industry, dedicated to shaping the future of talent and fostering inclusivity. For nearly two decades, Sonya has been a driving force at Allianz Insurance and its entities, mentoring professionals, championing change, and empowering the next generation of leaders.

In her role, Sonya leads the Allianz Commercial – North America Recruitment team, implementing industry-leading practices and placing a strong emphasis on building a dynamic, inclusive workforce. She plays a pivotal role in Allianz’s global diversity initiatives, including GRACE, which raises awareness on diversity topics, champions cultural and ethnic inclusivity, and takes a vocal stand against racial inequalities.

Sonya’s work transcends recruitment—she is deeply committed to creating pathways for growth and advancement in the insurance industry. In 2024, she joined the NAAIA National Emerging Leader Council, leveraging her experience to guide young professionals toward leadership. Her engagement with NAAIA reflects her passion for unlocking potential and equipping the next generation of insurance leaders with the tools to thrive.
